Nigerian Aims To Read Himself Into Guinness Book Of World Records

Yes, He Can

40-year-old Lagosian, Bayode Treasure Olawunmi, who has set himself on a reading spree to break the Guinness Book of Records mark for the “longest reading marathon” has done 82 hours (at the time of writing) and still counting.

This title was initially held by an Indian, Indian, Deepak Sharma Bajaan, who read for 113 hours and 15 minutes.

He’s already a champion! We are so proud of Bayode, he has gone 80hours reading aloud, 40 more hours to go and the record would be broken. He has become an inspiration to children from various schools who have been taking turns in visiting him and cheering him on. Let’s make history together, stop by the #YouRead Library Yaba to encourage Bayode. Feel free to also drop an encouraging comment below👇🏽#guinnessworldrecord #longestmarathonreadingaloud
