Obasanjo’s Wife Slams Husband With Counter-Affidavit

Last week, we brought you information that Olujonwo and Tope, children of Olusegun and Kessington Adebutu is on the brink of divorce due to assault allegations.

Recall that the son had told the Igbosere Magistrate court to annul the marriage because his wife and her mother were always on verbally and physically assaulting him so that he ran away when he could not bear it anymore. He also alleged that she was placed on anti-depressants which she had stopped taking.

Tope has now come out to say that the reverse is the case in their marriage. In a rather revealing counter-document, she stated that he left her during their honeymoon to stay in Lagos “in the company of other women” torturing her with words such as “I married you out of convenience”.

She also alleged that he was checked into a rehabilitation centre for more than two months earlier this year during which his mother feared that he had gotten missing.

She wrote that she had only be diagnosed with uterine fibroid while in the marriage which had been treated before stating that he absconded for more than four months before he asked to be separated.
