Olympic Boxer Nicola Adams Made Into A Doll

Ahead of the International Women’s day, popular boxer Nicola Adams has been made into a Barbie doll, manufacturer Mattel has said.


Mattel said that she was chosen because of her contributions and her impact on the sport and the society. The two-time Olympic gold medallist will be included in the Shero collection.

She said, “I am so excited and honoured to be Barbie’s first ever UK Shero and the first ever boxer Barbie…I hope my doll inspires young girls to believe that they can break boundaries in whatever they choose to do”.

As the 15th Shero, Nicola will join the list of American director Ava DuVernay, gymnast Gabby Douglas and fencer Ibtihaj Muhammad.

The doll has comes with boxing gloves and gear with her nickname “Lioness” on the gear.
