Omowunmi Rubbishes Rumour Of Dating MC Oluomo
Yoruba actress Omowunmi Ajiboye has emphatically denied any romantic involvement with MC Oluomo, a prominent figure who was rumored to have sponsored the funeral.
Netizens had previously criticized Ajiboye for alleged disrespectful behavior toward her estranged husband, Segun Ogungbe, during her mother’s funeral over the weekend. Rumors circulated that MC Oluomo had financially supported the funeral, adding fuel to speculations of a romantic connection between the actress and the philanthropist.
Addressing the allegations on Monday through an Instagram post, Ajiboye set the record straight, clarifying that while MC Oluomo did provide financial support for the burial, there was no romantic relationship between them.
“I need to clear the air. I am a virtuous and hardworking woman, and I wouldn’t allow my tenacity, name, and my truth to be robbed,” Ajiboye stated in her Instagram post.
She went on to explain that her association with MC Oluomo was based on her independent connection with the King of Fuji Music, established years before her mother’s burial. Ajiboye also revealed that, as part of her involvement with the group CGI (Connecting Grassroots Initiatives), she had officially invited MC Oluomo to the event.
“I can categorically say that I have never had a romantic relationship with him prior to or during the party,” she affirmed.
Ajiboye expressed her frustration at the constant association of her achievements with MC Oluomo, emphasizing her hard work and independence. She revealed that the philanthropist provided financial support a day before the party, but this act of generosity should not be misconstrued as a romantic involvement.
“I have been quiet for a long time, but I’m boldly saying that I don’t have any romantic relationship with him, and this does not cancel the fact that he has been a good person to me,” she asserted.
In a closing statement, Ajiboye declared her determination not to be silenced or bullied into submission, leaving the judgment of her words to God.
“I am Omowunmi Ajiboye; I will never be bullied into silence. Let God judge me if I lie, but if this is really my truth, may God bless me more, amen.”
The actress’s firm stance aims to put an end to the speculations and controversies surrounding her personal life, allowing her to focus on her career and future endeavors.
