Penis Enlargement May Lead To Smaller Penis- Study

Penis enlargement has become a fetish for a lot of men who believe that the bigger the size, the more masculine they become. For these men, penis enlargement surgeries have become the order of the day. However, a new research has shown that penis enlargement surgery hardly works and may have a reverse effect.

This new study published in Sexual Medicine Reviews by researchers from Kings College London found that about 80% of those who engaged in this activity were left with “disfigured” and smaller penises.

According to the researchers, private clinics are marketing these products containing filler injections to “insecure men” to make their penises thicker and longer for as much as £40,000 (N14,400,000).

Their findings from 10,000 ops showed that “overall treatment outcomes were poor, with low satisfaction rates and significant risk of major complications,” Daily Mail reports.

Some of its complications include ‘”penile deformity, shortening, and erectile dysfunction.”

Still, for some, they experienced scarring, permanent numbness in places and regret.

Meanwhile, in Brazil, men continue to amputate their penis for health reasons while Papua New Guinea subscribe to enlargement.

The researchers, therefore, recommend that before undergoing such surgery, men should be given counselling and a psychological assessment. Also, having a bigger penis does not translate to being better in bed.
