UK-Nigerian Afrofusion artist Princess Wonda has announced her new EP, Magic Hour, with the seven-track project set for release on Friday, August 21, 2026, via EMA Recordz.

The project blends Afrobeats, Afro-R&B and contemporary soul, exploring themes of love, desire, confidence, vulnerability and self-discovery.

The title draws from the brief period of warm light at the end of the day, using the fleeting moment as a metaphor for the experiences that shape a person’s life.

Across the project, Princess Wonda reflects on the idea that defining moments often arrive unexpectedly and, like magic hour itself, do not last forever.

Magic Hour is produced by Mr Marz and Indigo Beats, with guitarist Fiokee also contributing to the project. The production combines African rhythms with R&B influences, creating what the artist describes as a soulful and cinematic sound.

The EP brings together four previously released singles, Fire, Bodykilla, Darling and Shooby Doo, alongside three unreleased tracks: Fese La, Down For You and Desire.

Fire, released in July 2026, has surpassed 124,000 views on YouTube as of August.

The new project follows a series of releases and sync placements that have expanded Princess Wonda’s reach beyond her core audience.

Her song Bust My Mind was licensed for Amazon Prime Video’s Harlem, while Bank Stops featured in HBO Max’s Young Love.

Princess Wonda’s debut album, Fantasy Fair, was released in October 2021 and reached number 27 across all genres on the UK iTunes chart.

With Magic Hour, the artist enters another phase of her career, bringing together material that has already connected with listeners while introducing new songs that further explore her Afrofusion sound.

The EP is available to pre-save on Spotify and Apple Music ahead of its August 21 release.
