Rihanna has returned to the music scene with “Lift Me Up”, the first single off the upcoming ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” soundtrack.

This single comes six years after her last solo music.

The song’s beginning sends chills down the spine as Rihanna hums before kicking in with the lyrics, as her unmistakable timbre and texture soothes the ears.

“Lift me up/Hold me down/Keep me close/Safe and sound,” she sings in the song’s chorus.

“Lift Me Up” was written by director Ryan Coogler, producer Ludwig Göransson and Nigerian artist Tems as a tribute to late “Black Panther” actor Chadwick Boseman.

“Keep me in the warmth of your love/When you depart, keep me safe.” It’s a poignant sentiment for anyone whose loved ones have passed on to the other side,” Rihanna continues.
