Ronda Rousey Becomes Newest Smackdown Women Champion
Ronda Rousey is the latest Smackdown women’s champion, upgrading from her UFC title.
In a brawl with Charlotte Flair, Rousey came out as the winner after their match at Wrestlemania Backlash tagged ‘I Quit Match’.
Rousey took the belt from Flair who was the champion for 195 days.
Despite Flair’s German suplex at the match’s opening and her attempt at Figure Eight, Rousey was still able to win the match.
When Rousey got her hands on the kendo sticks Flair used to strike her, Rousey was able to use the two kendo sticks and repeatedly struck Flair.
Flair threw a ringside toward Rousey and their fight boiled over into the crowd. In their bolt Rousey refused to quit while Flair pressed on until Rousey took leverage of Flair’s arm being inside a steel chair and snatched the armbar making Flair scream “I Quit!” making Rousey the latest winner of Smackdown Women’s championship.
