South Korean Actress, Song Yoo-Jung, Dead At 26
South Korean actress Song Yoo-Jung has died at the age of 26.No cause of death was given for the star of popular shows Golden Rainbow, Make Your Wish, and Dear My Name.
Song’s death on Saturday in Seoul was confirmed by her representatives at the Sublime Artist Agency. In a statement, they said her funeral had been “held quietly,” according to family wishes.
“Song Yu Jung was a friend of ours who always gave us joy with her bright smile,” the statement read, “and she was a wonderful actress who acted with passion.”
After first working as a cosmetic model, Song Yoo made her acting debut in Golden Rainbow in 2013. She next appeared in the MBC series Make Your Wish then in KBS2’s School 2017 in a report by The Mirror.
Her fans grew when she was cast as an architecture student in the 2019 web show Dear My Name.
Song Yoo had also appeared in commercials for Estée Lauder products and Baskin-Robbins ice cream, according to an obituary in the New York Times, as well as various music videos.
She was also an advocate for people with disabilities.
