Last week, Mikaela Spielberg, the daughter of renowned American filmmaker Steven Spielberg expressed her intention to pursue a career in the porn industry.

The 23-year-old made this known in a chat with The Sun US, revealing that she has already started self-producing solo porn videos and would love to land a job as a dancer in a strip club once she obtains her sex worker license.

Describing herself as “a sexual creature,” Mikaela explained how she wanted to get naked and perform solo sex acts on screen as a way “to honor my body in a way that’s lucrative.”

Mikaela also claimed her  parents, Steven Speilberg and Kate Capeshaw were supportive of her decision but a report published Saturday by the New York Post said that director Steven Spielberg was “concerned over the decision.”

Mikaela claimed her parents were “intrigued” by her decision telling The Sun:

“I got really tired of not being able to capitalize on my body and frankly, I got really tired of being told to hate my body,” Mikaela said. “And I also just got tired of working day to day in a way that wasn’t satisfying my soul.”

“I feel like doing this kind of work, I’m able to ‘satisfy’ other people, but that feels good because it’s not in a way that makes me feel violated,” she added.

Spielberg was reportedly “embarrassed” by his daughter’s surprise public admission that she had begun a career in adult entertainment. This was made known by a family friend that spoke with New York Post.

The source said:

“As Mikaela said, Steven and Kate are nothing but supportive of her, as they are with all their children,” the friend said. But their feelings are, yes, “complicated,” the friend said.

“Outwardly, Steven and Kate — who are the most evolved parents in the world and love their kids beyond all measure — have always been supportive of Mikaela and try to understand her.” the friend said. “Obviously, though, they’re embarrassed by her sudden public admission of entry into the sex worker world.”

Someone who has worked with Spielberg, 73, added to Page Six that he and Capshaw, 66, only want what’s best for Mikaela.

“But they’re also concerned that this path might not end up being the best,” the colleague said.
