Andrea Iyamah Spring/Summer 2016 Collection Is FIRE
OMG! When I first saw this collection on the Heineken Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2015 runaway, I fell in lust immediately. Andrea Iyamah’s collections are always so sexy and attention-grabbing, and this one was no different.
I will be the first to admit that this lookbook blew my mind. I was not prepared for the awesomeness. As great as it looked on the runway, the Finding Water collection looks breathtaking in this lookbook. These Bikinis, one piece suits, and tankinis, all in bright and beautiful tribal prints, are basically swimwear goals for every woman who fantasizes about making those supermodel appearances at the pool.
Seeing as the 2016 spring/summer swimwear collection is inspired by ancient Egyptians, it’s no wonder the shoot was desert themed. The creative director of this shoot definitely knew exactly what they were going during styling and shooting. The designer herself said “There’s something mysterious and daring about the Egyptian culture that sparked my curiosity. Symbolism was important in telling the story behind our SS16 collection”.
Finding Water by Andrea Iyamah
I got both the desert vibe and the vacation vibe from the pictures, which just proves to me that the shoot was executed perfectly. I actually can’t decide on a favorite one, but one thing is certain – these pictures definitely had me reaching for a glass of water.
Which do you love the most?
