Blot Beauty Lip Gloss Review & Swatches
I’ve expressed before that when it comes to makeup, I’m more of a lippie person. Because of this, I’m constantly on the look out for great lipsticks, lip glosses, tinted balms, and the likes. I heard found out about Blot Beauty a while back on instagram, and made it my mission to try out their lip glosses. I was fortunate enough to be gifted some recently, and I have tried out two of the four I received.
Firstly, I had no idea the Blot lippies were lip glosses, based off what I saw on instagram. It turns out they’re really pigmented, and look a lot more like liquid lipsticks than glosses. Not like I’m complaining though. The colours I got are completely gorgeous. I got a deep purple shade called ‘Lucid, a muddy pink called ‘Moonshine’, aan electric pink called ‘Clique’, and a brick red called ‘Boy Bye’. Yes, I love the names too.
They look a little glossy in the picture because I had just swatched them, but they actually dry matte.
First Impressions of Blot Beauty Lip Gloss
What I love the most about these Blot lippies is their texture. They’re not drying like other liquid lipsticks, and apply very smoothly. It makes a little more sense that they’re called lip glosses when you think about this. These lipglosses are also really thick. You have to be careful not to try to apply too much at once, or the colour will come out terribly by the time it dries.
These lipsticks are also non-transferrable and water-proof. You can rub at it all you want, and it’ll stay completely still. Did I mention how light this lipgloss is? I wore mine all day and was very comfortable; almost like I had no lipstick on at all.
Summary
I would definitely recomend the blot beauty lip glosses to anyone looking to udate their lipstick collection. The prices are a bit high (N5000 each), in my opinion, but it’s worth it for the quality you get.
