Yes dearies!! This popular “hair pin” as you call it is actually called a “bobby pin”, this pin has so many purposes but for the sake of this post we would focus on your hair.

Most times than not, you actually use it wrongly and at the end of the day, end up with bad pins, loose hair and an uncomfortable feeling when you have to use it again.

To avoid this, here are some tips to using your bobby pins properly;

Coat Pins

Use a dry shampoo or hair spray to coat your bobby pins. The shampoo and spray would give your hair and the pin something extra to hold. This is major if you want your pins to work perfectly all day.

Pin Insertion

This is where most people get it wrong. Use the bobby pins with the wavy side down. The grooved ridges are designed to pick up hair, while the flat side locks it all into place.

Be Creative

Create patterns, shapes and all sorts with your bobby pins, this would help those with fine hair (because it easily falls off). Getting creative with your bobby pins and stacking them would make the hair truly anchored in.

Storage

Store your pins in an old container, maybe an old Tic Tac container to make sure you never lose your pin again.
