Supernatural star Jensen Ackles has confirmed that his co-star Jared Padalecki is recuperating from a car accident. 

He made this known while speaking to attendees at the ‘Supernatural’ New Jersey convention, saying that Jared Padalecki was involved in a “very bad car accident.”

However Ackles did not state when the accident took place but gave some information that Padalecki “wasn’t driving,” and was seated at the passenger side when the accident took place. He also confirmed that Padalecki was “recovering.”

Even though the series has ended, the two have remained close friends while working on other projects.

The two were later united on the set of Padalecki’s current show, the CW’s Walker with Ackles as the director.

Ackles and Padalecki both starred as on-screen brothers in the 15 seasons of Supernatural. The show amassed over 5.6 million viewers on its first premier, assuming a dedicated fanbase.
