Oladapo Ogunjobi is a multidisciplinary artist currently based in Lagos who finds expression of his idea in photography, design, painting, print making, illustrations and animation. His practice is a combination of photography and design using S.A.I (systematic abstract imaging) to create visually interesting and thought provoking works. His creative exploration and choices are influenced by his constant search for more understanding of life.

He was a selected participants for the 2018 New York Portfolio review for his conceptual work titled “Nature of Being.” He was also selected by Retro Africa for the 2018 ‘Generation Y’ art exposition.

Due to his originality and attention to detail, his art has become quite the choice, picked by industry leaders including Don Jazzy who purchased all eleven of his Limited Edition Augmented Reality art pieces from his latest project called “The 1111 project” announced on Thursday October 1, 2020 and were released November 11, 2020. Other industry leaders include; Waje, Broddashaggi, Denrele, Do2dtun to mention a few.

The 1111 Project is an exploration of intuition and intent. The project features 11 outstanding works from his portfolio produced as prints in a limited edition of 1,111. These prints are supported with augmented reality. Augmented reality unlike virtual reality where the environment
is completely artificial; is a product of our real environments which are only augmented with real information. Works of art are enhanced with augmented reality functions in this Project 1111 to communicate a deeper experience.

An NFT (non-fungible token) is a unit of data stored on a digital ledger, called a blockchain, that certifies a digital asset to be unique and therefore not interchangeable. NFTs can be used to represent items such as photos, videos, audio, and other types of digital files.

Ouverture recently released limited edition NFT’s and that represents a new high for creatives as he is leading the charge in showing more ways artists can benefit off their work. The digital contents are now available on the blockchain (opens.io) as NFTs.

So far, all eleven art pieces from the project are currently in more than 11 countries across the world and have sold over 300 editions of prints in the past months including some NFTs on the blockchain. With the growth rate of the project, we can clearly see that Ouverture is heading to define what is possible. Stay Expectant.
