6 Things To Do While You Are Still Young

The popular saying “youth is wasted on the young” is one you shouldn’t allow to apply to you,

Here is a list of things you should while you are still young so you never have to look back and feel like you wasted your youth.

Travel as much as you can

The older you get, the harder it gets to travel especially if you have a family (that means extra cost!).

Learn another language

Most of us were taught a language subject in school, it could be a local or international language different from what you currently understand. Find a way to keep it fresh.

Listen to (at least some) of your parent’s advice

Now and then, the African parent appears overbearing especially with their know-it-all attitude but the truth is your parents have a wealth of experience you can’t appreciate now. Yes, we hate to admit it but they have the wisdom to share no matter how old school they seem to you.

Take time off

No one looks back from their deathbed and wishes they spent more time at the office, but they do wish they spent more time with family, friends, and hobbies.

Forgive and let go

Like the lyrics from the popular Disney animated film, “Frozen”, “just let it go” because in the future you are going to relieve your youth and realise there was no point holding onto or relieving anger over and over.

Take a big risk

When you are old, you are likely to judge how well you lived when you reflect on how many times you took a leap of faith. Even if it is just once, come out of your comfort zone and do something different and it doesn’t matter if you fall face flat on the ground, at least you tried.
