Twitter Reactions Trail Meghan And Harry’s Tell-It-All Interview With Oprah Winfrey
Britain’s royal family on Sunday braced for further revelations from Prince Harry and his American wife, Meghan, as a week of transatlantic claim and counter-claim reaches a climax with the broadcast of their interview with Oprah Winfrey.
The two-hour chat with the US chatshow queen is the biggest royal interview since Harry’s mother Princess Diana detailed her crumbling marriage to his father Prince Charles in 1995.
The interview which was aired yesterday led to different reactions from people; many shocked at the revelations. In the biggest bombshell, Meghan claimed there were concerns within the royal family about how dark the skin would be of their first child, Archie.
In the months leading up to Archie’s birth, Meghan said there were not only conversations about how he would not be given a title or security, but a member of the royal family raised concerns with Harry about how dark the baby’s skin might be and “what that would mean or look like”. Neither Meghan nor Harry would reveal who that conversation was with.
The Duchess also spoke about the depths of her mental despair before she and her husband split from the royal family.
Meghan said she reached a point where she “just didn’t want to be alive anymore, and that was a very real and clear and frightening and constant thought”.
Harry further revealed the royal family had cut him off financially but they were being supported by money he was left by Princess Diana.
The couple also revealed they were married in secret three days prior to their wedding on May 19, 2018. “Nobody knows this,” Meghan said.
Below are some reactions to the revelations by Meghan and Harry:
When Meghan Markle was accused of bullying, Buckingham Palace immediately announced an investigation.
Now that Meghan has revealed comments about her child’s skin colour, will they investigate racism in the Palace?
I won’t be holding my breath.

Meghan Markle is the perfect example as to why people who are suicidal don’t speak up!! All I’m seeing is “She’s an actress” “attention seeking” “she’s a liar”.
They only believe you when it’s too fucking late

Meghan Markle and Harry were shocked to note that Royal Family was very worried about the colour of their yet to be born child.
They weren’t shocked at the atrocities queen’s men did in India and Africa. Not shocked about the loot of wealth and riches. The Bengal famines.

To anyone struggling with their mental health who had to witness PM deny Meghan Markle’s suicidal thoughts and claim she was lying about them, please don’t think you won’t be believed if you seek help.
I’ve been there. I believe you.

i haven’t seen the harry and meghan interview but hope it adds to the obvious: the royal family and monarchy is a horrible fucking mess of wealth, snobbery and privilege that makes me want to barf chunks

The British Royal Family brings over $1 Billion to UK economy alone.
The Crown Estates, valued in billions and managed by the parliament brought £343.5 million and the Monarchy gets 25%..
What Meghan experienced is unfortunate, but please quit the utopia, nothing will happen.

‘Meghan’s not going to see you tweeting you don’t believe she was suicidal – but your friends who have been suicidal will.’

Disturbing to see Phillip Schofield swallow hook line and sinker Harry and Meghan’s claims that Charles and Wills are “trapped” and that Kate made Meg cry.
Has he spoken to anyone close to the other side? Doubt it!
Thank goodness for honest reporting from @CamillaTominey.

I have been a mental health advocate for over 30 yrs when my lifelong struggle with clinical depression began. Today it feels as though all the work done to reduce stigma and taboo has been pointless as I see people call Meghan a liar for confessing to suicidal thoughts 😢
