In a dazzling display of elegance and creativity, Vicnate, introduced its N°6 collection, themed ‘SISI GIRL,’ at the prestigious Alára Lagos luxury concept store on Saturday 30tH September, 2023.

The evening was a celebration of feminine sophistication, showcasing bold silhouettes, luxurious fabrics, and impeccable craftsmanship.

Victor Anate, the Founder and Creative Director, presented a vision that celebrated the spirit of a SISI GIRL—a woman unapologetically breaking free from traditional norms in pursuit of life’s finer pleasures.

He drew inspiration from the lives of Southern Nigerian women who defy societal expectations, resulting in a collection exuding confidence and elegance.

The exclusive event brought together 130 esteemed guests, including cultural tastemakers, fashion icons, influencers, and celebrities, all treated to a runway spectacle featuring 15 demi-couture pieces and refined evening garments.
According to Victor, ” Each piece has a certain unapologetic confidence which is my celebration of the VICNATE woman.”

Vicnate signature silhouettes took centre stage as models gracefully paraded in regal draped gowns, striking metallic cocktail dresses, and statement ensembles. The collection is poised to turn heads and make a profound fashion statement wherever it is worn.

One of the evening’s highlights was the pulsating music, curated by celebrity producer LeriQ, renowned for chart-toppers like Burna Boy’s “I Told Them.” LeriQ’s beats elevated the show into a sensory experience, captivating the audience.

Mrs. Reni Folawiyo, cultural entrepreneur and founder of Alara, expressed her admiration for Victor Anate’s work, stating, “Victor’s N°6 collection is an embodiment of self-assured elegance, a reminder that fashion is a canvas for expressing who we truly are, and Alara is proud to support his work.”

Following the mesmerizing showcase, guests had the opportunity to mingle with the designer and other fashion influencers while enjoying cocktails provided by Bayab Gin and Nok by Alara.

The VIP guest list featured prominent figures such as Mrs. Reni Folawiyo, Ituen Bassey, Ezinne Chinkata, Eku Edewor, Folake Coker, Nicole Chikwe, Chinyere Adogu, Fife Aiyesimoju, Kayito Nwokedi, Taofeek Okoya, Theodora Mogo, Zara Odu, and Temitayo Nathan.
