Your face is your selling point, it is the first part of your body people see when they look at you. You know, first impressions count and your face can be part of that first impression.

This post is on how to prevent acne as well as treat it, if you do suffer from acne breakout.

Wash your face twice a day.

If you have acbe or not, this is for you. It’s important to wash your face twice daily to remove impurities, dead skin cells, and extra oil from your skin’s surface. Washing more often than twice may do more harm than good. Use warm, not hot, water and a mild facial cleanser. Using a harsh soap (like deodorant body soap) can hurt the already inflamed skin and cause more irritation.

Use a noncomedogenic moisturizer.

After washing apply a good moisturizer to hydrate the skin and prevent it from becoming dry and irritated. When you suffer from pimples it is important that you use the right type of moisturizer for your skin type. Heavy, oily moisturizers can clog your pores and lead to further breakouts, and you do not want that. Look for moisturizers which say “noncomedogenic” on the label this means that they should not cause your skin to breakout.

Avoid touching your face or popping pimples.

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Your hands come in contact with bacteria, more than any other part of your body and that is why you should avoid touching your face, no matter what. In addition to spreading bacteria and risking infection, touching spots and pimples can cause them to become irritated and inflamed, thus worsening their appearance and prolonging healing time.

Use makeup sparingly

During a breakout, avoid wearing foundation, powder, or blush. If you do wear makeup, wash it off at the end of the day. If possible, choose oil-free cosmetics without added dyes and chemicals. Do not forget to wash your brushes, puff and other instruments for applying makeup.

You should also watch the things you put on your hair because if your hair comes in contact with your face, the product transfers. What you want is to give the skin on your face to breathe and let nature take it course.
