Celebrities Express Condolences Over Death of Davido’s Son

Nigerian celebrities have expressed their condolences over the death of the son of popular Afro-pop star David Adeleke (aka Davido) and his partner Chioma Rowland.

Nigerian celebrities have expressed their condolences over the death of the son of popular Afro-pop star David Adeleke (aka Davido) and his partner Chioma Rowland.

The couple’s three years old son, Ifeanyi, was reported to have drowned in a pool at his parent’s house in Banana Island, Lagos on Monday.

The Lagos State Police Command however has confirmed the incident.

The police spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin, said eight people including Ifeanyi’s nanny have been invited for questioning adding that anyone found culpable after a thorough investigation would be arrested.

Nigerian rapper and record producer, M.I Abaga, took to his verified Twitter handle to express his condolences, “what a dark day. My heart and love go to David and Chioma, 

 “I pray for your heart and mind this period. You have endured so much loss brother. May God hold you in his arms and keep you through this.” M.I Abaga said

Popular Nollywood actor, Muyiwa Ademola also addressed the situation on his Instagram, sharing an all-black post alongside a caption sharing his condolences.

“It is one of the saddest thing when kids are being buried by parents. We really wish it never happened! May The Almighty gives the parents and the entire Adeleke family the strength to bear this loss.” Ademola said

Actor Williams Uchemba also wrote on Instagram: “I said I won’t believe anything on social media until I personally confirm myself. I prayed for it to be a lie. I am upset, pained, and confused. Nobody deserves to feel this pain

“Please say a prayer for David, Chioma, and the entire family. Nobody deserves this kind of pain. Rest up little one.”

Actress Iyabo Ojo, express her grief on Instagram and said: “I don’t even know how to react to this rude shock. I was hoping it wasn’t true. My God!!! This is so shocking, sad, devastating, and extremely painful Olorun!!! Ikun le abiamo.”

Similarly, British rapper and singer, Stefflon Don, also took to her verified Twitter handle to express her condolences and asked fans to pray for Ifeanyi’s parents.

 She tweeted, “Prayers for Davido and Chioma.”
