Drake is $2.7m Richer After Adesanya’s Victory Over Pereira

Popular Canadian rapper Drake is some dollars richer after winning $2.7 million from Israel Adesanya’s recent victory over Alex Pereira at UFC 287.

In the previous fight between Adesanya and Pereira, which took place five months prior, Drake had lost $1.6 million after betting on Adesanya to win. Adesanya’s recent knockout win helped Drake to recoup his loss and make a significant profit.

However, The Canadian rapper reportedly staked a $500,000 bet on Adesanya to win which returned $885,000 and also won another $1.8 million for his bet tipping the Nigerian-born martial artist to knock his Brazilian opponent out.

Drake has always been unlucky with his betting tips, prompting fans to create what is tagged the “Drake Curse”

The curse is a widely known internet myth that suggests that anyone who has a connection with Drake will eventually suffer a loss, whether it be through a team, player, or endorsement.

Adesanya, while speaking on his recent victories as it concerns Drake bettings he said “That’s the biggest parlay you can ever do. I’m a betting man too so shoutout to Drake, we are about to make another deal and get more money,”
