The week again, like the previous, has been plagued with the inability of many Nigerians accessing their money and many other shenanigans surrounding the new naira note. Taking our minds, a little bit to other things, here are top stories that caught the radar of Guardian Life.

Rihanna Had Assistance At Superbowl Performance
The Superbowl has come and gone, but one thing that still remains is the news that ‘bad girl’, Riri, left behind that she is expecting her second baby.
Rihanna made an entry at the halftime performance revealing a baby bump that left fans and audience stunned at the news.
The singer was asked during an interview if there was a surprise entry to be expected by some big names, she simply answered, “I’m thinking about bringing someone.”
She added: “I’m not sure, we’ll see.”
After the performance that broke the Internet some of the dancers disclosed that they were not aware that the singer was pregnant during their rehearsals.
The singer thrilled the audience with some of her old songs beginning with the famous Better Have My Money as an amusing introduction given that she wasn’t being paid for her appearance at the Super Bowl. The crowd erupted in applause.

Songstress Tiwa Savage Turns Actress
The popular singer, Tiwa Savage, has taken a detour from her music career and makes a career expansion by starring in and co-directing a new film.
The 43-year-old performer described this move as her first-ever film, and it is titled ‘Water and Garri’.
She stated that it would be her big screen debut.
She shared a picture of herself on set and with directors on Instagram and commented, “A historic event is about to occur. My first calling and joint directing outing with @meji Alabi, the GOAT.”
In the film, which is set in the Ghanaian city of Cape Coast, Tiwa portrays a fashion designer with a promising career in the United States who returns to her native continent of Africa to deal with the guilt she left behind.

Pharell Williams Is The New Creative Director
Pharell Williams takes on the role of Loius Vuitton menswear as the new creative director since the death of Virgil Abloh.
It is the second time in the French luxury house’s history that a Black American designer has held the post of chief designer. When Abloh was appointed in March 2018, he became the first in history.

Williams’ hiring puts an end to months of rumours about who would next take on the highly sought-after position. Williams is a steadfast supporter and friend of Abloh.
Yet, his selection reflects the continuous nexus between the luxury and streetwear markets and provides a signal as to the course LVMH intends to take the brand.

Many people commended Abloh, who was acclaimed as a fashion renegade, for expanding Louis Vuitton’s appeal.
Williams was referred to as a “visionary whose creative universes expand from music to art to fashion” in a statement from Louis Vuitton to announce the employment of Williams. He pushes boundaries in the many realms he investigates, which is in line with Louis Vuitton’s reputation as a cultural maison and reinforces its ideals of invention, entrepreneurship, and pioneer spirit.

Did Megan Fox And Machine Gun Kelly Split?
Fans believe Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly, a couple that announced their engagement in January 2022, have gone their separate ways. This is because Fox deleted everything about their relationship from her Instagram and after a while, her account was nowhere to be found.

Before Megan deactivated her account, she made a post of herself in the mirror with the caption “You can taste the dishonesty/ it’s all over your breath.” This made a fan comment on the post by guessing that she might have cheated on his guitarist Sophie Lloyd, “He probably got with Sophie.” She responded jokingly: “Maybe I got with Sophie.”

On February 13, 2023, a source told ‘People’ that “Megan is very upset. They had a fight over the weekend and Megan won’t speak to him,”. They “haven’t officially called off the engagement but Megan took her ring off. They have had issues in the past, but things seem pretty serious this time.” The actress has been inactive and unavailable to give real answers.
