Nigerian brand influencer and daughter of Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo, Priscilla Ojo, has reacted to rumours suggesting she got pregnant before tying the knot with Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux.

The 24-year-old said they had already been legally married before the publicised Nikkah ceremony that held in February.

She made this known on Friday via her Snapchat handle, a day after she and Jux shared their pregnancy announcement post on Instagram which stirred fresh speculations online.

According to Priscilla, the Nikkah event that fans saw was just one of many celebrations and not their first official wedding moment.

Her post read, “Womb watchers and calculators, another confusion for you. This was the first time we actually got married after our private introduction last year. We were already married before the Nikkah we posted — that was to celebrate with friends & family.”

The couple’s wedding journey began with a private introduction in 2023. This was followed by a Nikkah ceremony on February 7 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

They later held a romantic engagement dinner in Lagos on February 12, where Juma surprised Priscilla with another proposal and a new diamond ring.

On April 17, they hosted both their traditional Yoruba ceremony and white wedding in Lagos. Priscilla wore a stunning custom dress by Veekee James, while Juma was styled in a classic tuxedo by Mai Atafo.

The celebration concluded on May 28 in Tanzania, with a colourful reception attended by family and friends across East Africa. The biggest highlight was when Juma gifted Priscilla a brand-new Range Rover, a gesture that sparked reactions across social media.
