Chude Jideonwo is quite known in the media and journalism space in Nigeria mostly because of his incredible work with RED Media. What a lot of people might not know about is his effort in the humanitarian space through his benefits corporation called Joy Inc.

“I was unhappy for a long period of my life and I was coming in and out of clinical depression, which is a state of sustained unhappiness that stops you from performing optimally… this was not just sadness, it was a sadness that made me lose the desire for life and living.”

Jideonwo’s above statement represents one of the strongest motivations behind the creation of Joy Inc. Having gone through clinical depression, he came out of this state with a burden to see the people around him lead truly happy and fulfilling lives.

This burden birthed Joy Inc. and, since its creation, the organisation has held numerous events called Joy Masterclasses where they tackle issues that border on mental health, emotional health and living a joyful life. They also donate funds to charity organisations and mental health foundations to support the work of rehabilitating the human mind.
