Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, has narrated how she narrowly escaped injury after part of the POP ceiling in her Lekki residence collapsed close to her car.
A video she shared on Instagram showed the broken POP scattered on the floor near her newly purchased vehicle. She added that it was the first time she had ever witnessed such an incident.
In the clip cited by The Guardian on Tuesday, the actress expressed shock over the collapse and questioned the quality of construction in the area.
“Come to Lekki they said. Thank God no be inside house and my new car no Dey there…wetin I for talk abeg? It’s well with una Lekki developers,” she stated.
Blessing, 36, who is known for her roles in films such as The Ghost and the Tout (2018), stressed that the damage could have been worse if her car had been parked directly under the ceiling.
In July, the actress also disclosed that she took a break from acting after an anonymous individual placed her on a ₦1 million weekly salary.
She made this revelation on the show Curiosity Made Me Ask hosted by Bae U Barbie, explaining that she was not earning enough from movie roles and sometimes made less than ₦1 million profit from a film.
“Someone anonymously put me on a N1 million weekly salary because I wasn’t getting paid enough for movie roles — that’s why I took a break from acting. I can’t shoot a movie and I might not even make up to ₦1 million profit from it,” the actress stated.
