“Reel Love” retained its top spot at the box office over the weekend, while Captain America: Brave New World moved closer to the ₦350 million mark despite competition from new releases.

According to the latest figures released on Monday, “Reel Love” led the box office for the second consecutive weekend, earning ₦26.7 million between March 7 and 9, bringing its four-week total to ₦269.8 million.

Close behind was “Captain America: Brave New World”, which grossed ₦26.2 million over the weekend. The superhero blockbuster, which debuted with a record-breaking ₦137.5 million in February, has now amassed ₦344.4 million in four weeks.

Fantasy adventure film “In the Lost Lands” made a debut at number three, raking in ₦18.4 million in its first weekend.

It was followed by crime drama “Cartel”, which pulled in ₦8.3 million, while “Mickey 17”, a highly anticipated sci-fi film, made its entrance with ₦7.4 million.

Meanwhile, “Summer Rain”, now in its fifth week, added ₦3 million to its earnings, pushing its total to ₦67.6 million.
