Nigerian Instagram comedian Sydney Talker has updated his followers by sharing the result of his coronavirus test.

A few days ago, we reported that Talker called out the Nigeria Center for Disease (NCDC) for not testing him for the novel virus despite reaching out.

The comedian revealed that he was showing symptoms and needed to be tested.

Now taking to Twitter to share his test result, Talker expressed his excitement at testing negative

“My Test Results just got in from Lagos State Ministry of Health and thankfully it is NEGATIVE.

To those who felt this was a PRANK or CLOUT CHASING, I have just one question ” Why would I chase clout at the expense of my life ? ”

To everyone who prayed for me in my weakest moment and for quick recovery,I pray that on the day you are in distress may you also find help and recieve prayers IJN Amen

I love you all & I promise I will be back and better soonest.”

Born Sydney Egere, he is one of Nigeria’s influential Instagram comedians whose hilarious comedy skits have earned him a place in the entertainment industry.

Raised by a single mom, Talker was born and bred in Lagos as his mother divorced his father when he was still young.

He came into limelight in 2016 when he released “The Poor Power Supply” comedy skit. His funny face earned him the nickname ‘Mr. Bean of Nigeria’.

He has been at the center of controversy several times for promoting sexual harassment in his comedy skits.

Known for his funny face, he said he started paying close attention to it when Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham told him the concept is unique.

According to him, he often gets his inspiration through the happenings around him and makes his videos in a way that everyone can relate with.
