Nigerian rising star Rema made a guest appearance at the NBA All-star Weekend in Chicago, Illinois USA.

The Mavin Records signee performed alongside American rapper 2chainz at the event.

The announcement that Rema would perform at the NBA All-star Weekend was made on Saturday and the singer performed on Sunday when the main NBA All-Star game holds.

Activities for the weekend started on February 14 and spanned until Sunday, February 16.

Tega Oghenejobo, one of Mavin’s executives made the announcement of the “Dumebi” hitmaker’s performance at the event via his Twitter page.

The singer was recently in the news when a check on his Wikipedia page showed the singer as dead. According to fake reports, the singer was found dead in his Lagos apartment on February 1. Rumours about him passing on began to circulate on social media but the rumours were soon laid to rest by his manager Sean Okeke. Okeke reacted to the viral reports of the singer’s death by saying that  “Rema is hale and healthy!”

He added:

“Pls it’s all false. What really happened was that some hacker hacked into his Wikipedia page and changed his date of birth and then added a death date Feb 1 2020. But our digital officer has reversed it.
