What interests people about others is not what they do; it is what they do differently. Sometimes, it really feels boring when certain things are done in the same manner.

Over the last few years, Nigeria has seen the emergence of online comedians who appear to be taking over the country’s comic industry. However, Olaleye Olalekan John, popularly referred to as Lekan KingKong, comes with a different flavour that separates him from others.

Lekan KingKong was born on February 4, 1988. His sheer talent and ingenuity are displayed in his unique way of entertaining his large audience of Yoruba-speaking fans across the world via the rib-cracking, language-based commentary he runs on real-life videos.

Lekan KingKong, who was born in Lagos, hails from neighbouring Ogun State, in South-west Nigeria. The married social media comedian is a talented script writer, creative content provider, brand influencer, and proud flag bearer of Yoruba language and cultural values.

The way the handsome social media entertainer produces funny voice-overs done in his mother tongue for real life situations caught on camera would leave the most sadistic person unconsciously giggling or laughing out loudly. The creativity he employs in mimicking the Ogbomosho (a town in Oyo) way of speaking Yoruba as the narrator of the actual conversation or action ongoing in the videos is acutely hilarious.

Little wonder he has amassed many followers on social media, boasting of as much as one million alone on Instagram. Lekan KingKong contents are uniquely dissimilar to what is commonly found with his contemporaries.

Through his artistry, , Olaleye Olalekan, also known as Agba Inaki, has been able to preserve and promote Yoruba culture and, bring together from across the world his fans who speak one of the major Nigerian languages; in an era where indigenous languages are suffering extinction due to rejection by people of their origin.

Lekan KingKong was interestingly born in Lagos, the city that makes people wise by compulsion. He is a die-hard supporter of Premier League table-toppers Arsenal Football Club. His net worth has been estimated to be around $180,000.
