Man dies in lover’s house From Hendrix Oliomogbe, Asaba

Ughelli mapTHE Ulli-Iyede Community in Isoko North Local Council of Delta State was thrown into mourning yesterday following the sudden death of a young graduate, Mr. Harrison Ighoroje, at his girlfriend’s house.

Ighoroje, a graduate of Delta State University (DELSU) who taught briefly in a private secondary school in Emede community, was said to have visited his girlfriend at Irri, Isoko South Local Council to pass the night as usual where he reportedly died.

A source explained that the young man was in the middle of a conversation with his friends on Oleh/Irri Road when his girlfriend phoned him in the night to say that she was sick and needed his attention urgently.

The source explained that the deceased was initially reluctant to go to his lover’s house as it was dark but decided to take the risk because of his love and compassion for the lady.

The deceased was said to have started convulsing about 3.00a.m at the girlfriend’s house and died on the spot before being taken to the hospital.

The distressed girl reportedly report the incident at the police station in Oleh, the Isoko South headquarters, where she was detained immediately to allow for full investigation.

The spokeswoman for the state’s Police Command, Mrs. Celestina Kalu, who confirmed the incident, promised a detailed report after a thorough investigation.
