A man identified as Alhaji Mashood has been dragged before Magistrate Abdul Yekeen of the Upper Area Court in Kwara State for allegedly having sexual intercourse with his only daughter.
Yekeen resides in the Olorunsogo area of Bode Saadu, Moro Local Council of Kwara State.
The complainant (name withheld) alleged that Moshood has been having sexual intercourse with her, and threatening to jail or kill her if she dares expose it to anybody.
She told court that it has become her father’s habit, noting that she is the defendant’s only daughter, and that is why her mother has refused to return home after they divorced.
“My father’s second wife has once caught us in the act and made a joke of me, alleging ritualistic activity,” she told the court.
After the defendant was arraigned, his counsel, Toyin Onaolapo, prayed the court to grant him bail.
In his ruling, the Magistrate admitted the defendant to bail and adjourned to April 15, for hearing.
