Man Mauled To Death While Taking Selfie with Lion

A 38-year-old Indian man has been mauled to death while taking a selfie with a lion at Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park, India.
The man, Prahlad Gujjar, ignored warnings and climbed over a 25-ft fence into an enclave where the lion called Dongalpur was.

Before a zoo caretaker could react, Dongalpur had mauled him to death.
The police are investigating to confirm what was wrong with Gujjar and why he jumped into the lion’s den.

Having been alone at the zoo, contacting his family has proven difficult for authorities. Meanwhile, the lion (Dongalpur) is now under observation in a cage following the attack.

Lions have killed 7 humans in the last two years in the Gujarat region of India, with many of the victims going into the enclosure of the animals. 27 people were killed and 189 injured in leopard attacks during this period.
