Godspraise Momoh, whose stage name is Peerayce, stands as a testament to the power of versatility and innovation as he seamlessly navigates the realms of music, tech entrepreneurship and nightlife organization in Abuja.


Peerayce has indeed positioned himself as a cultural figure whose influence is fast becoming visible through the city’s cultural and technological landscapes where he has operated quietly for a long time.

Peerayce’s musical journey began with the release of his debut Extended Play (EP) album in 2017 titled, Lemons. His fresh sound, a unique blend of Afro Pop and R and B, quickly captured the attention of music enthusiasts in the Federal Capital Territory and beyond. This was further solidified by another extended play album released in 2020 titled, Renaissance.


The album, Renaissance featured a groundbreaking collaboration with Odumodu Blvck. Their track, Toyota Corolla became a household music in Abuja, particularly resonating with the ubiquitous presence of Toyota Corolla cars among Uber and Bolt drivers.

Influenced by iconic figures like Fela Kuti, Ebenezer Obey, Kenny Rogers, Wizkid, and Mr. Eazi, Peerayce’s music weaves together the rich tapestries of R and B with contemporary West African genres, earning him comparisons to Frank Ocean and John Legend.

His melodies, characterized by rhythmic complexities and vocal nuances in both English and Nigerian Pidgin English, have carved out a distinctive niche for him in the Nigerian music scene.

The artist is also transforming Abuja nightlife. Beyond the studio, Peerayce’s entrepreneurial spirit found expression in Abuja nightlife. In 2023, he co-founded Soundwave together with Abayomi Gbenga Adewole of Paragon X Events. Soundwave is a weekday party that has quickly become a staple of the city’s social calendar. The rapid popularity of Soundwave has culminated in a multi-million-naira collaboration deal with Ledrop Nigeria/Monkey Shoulder.


At the core of Peerayce’s success has been his openness to purposeful collaborations. Notable among his partnership drive was his collaboration with the renowned DJ OBI to bring the dynamic energy of OBI’s House to Abuja. DJ OBI’s vision and Peerayce’s tenacity has helped transform Obi’s House into one of the most attended events in Abuja. OBI’s House not only entertain but also serves as a platform for emerging DJs and musicians, further enriching Abuja’s cultural fabric.

Peerayce is championing Independent African Music Talent – Hotnewafro. In addition to his musical and nightlife ventures, he co-founded Hotnewafro with Paul Fashanu in 2017, thereby creating a platform that serves as a Launchpad for independent African music talent, leveraging technology to break new frontiers for upcoming artists, providing them with the tools and exposure needed to thrive in the competitive music industry. This initiative underscored his commitment to nurturing the next generation of African music stars.

The artist’s foray into the tech industry began in 2015, when he started working as an undergraduate software developer. Over the years, he has contributed to numerous tech projects across various industries, showcasing his versatility and technical prowess. In 2022, he founded Rubble, a cleantech startup that is focused on promoting clean energy in Africa through innovative software solutions.


Currently leading software development efforts at Rana Energy, Peerayce is at the forefront of building a data-driven energy ecosystem that supports underserved Small and Medium Enterprises and communities. He holds a BSc in Computer Science from the Federal University Lokoja. This has provided the technical expertise necessary for driving these initiatives forward.
