MTV BASE, a leading entertainment brand, is set to premiere the second season of its highly anticipated music game show, Know Your Music. The show will captivate audiences worldwide every week.
The TV game show, which is hosted by award-winning video jockey, and founder, Content King Studio, Adams Ibrahim Adebola, popularly known as VJ Adams, will be broadcast every Sunday at 20:00 WAT (11.00pm local time), beginning from January 21, on MTV Base, DStv Channel 322 and GOtv Channel 72.
Speaking on the show, Senior Channels Manager, Paramount, owners of MTV Base, Busola Komolafe, said, “Know Your Music is not just a show; it’s an immersive experience that celebrates the universal language of music. Contestants will engage in a thrilling showdown of musical knowledge across three captivating segments: Celeb Real Names, Finish the Lyrics, and Music Genius.”
According to her, the show promises a harmonious blend of music education, fun, and rewards, with every winner going home with N100,000 only.
“The global conversation around Afrobeat has intensified, with artistes like Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido dominating the international music scene. Know Your Music offers more than just entertainment; it provides a platform for music enthusiasts to connect with music while having fun,” she said.
Komolafe noted that the new season, in collaboration with VJ Adams, is more proof of the MTV Base commitment to delivering engaging content with music at its centre. She said it speaks to the power of partnerships in creating unique and entertaining experiences.
