Muslim group eulogises virtues of Sheikh Abou

Baba Adini

The Muslim Association of Nigeria (MAN) has paid glowing tribute to the late Baba Adini of Lagos, His Eminence, Sheikh Abdul-Hafeez Abou who died on January 9, 2024 at the age of 101.

The group also organised a special Friday prayer for him. In a condolence message signed by its President, Prof. Dhikrullah Adewale Yagboyaju and National Publicity Secretary, Alhaja Mudirakat Ajibona respectively, MAN mourned the demise of the elder statesman.

The group condoled with the family and said he was a peace lover, teacher of teachers, community leader and an opinion moulder.

The statement reads further: “Every soul originated from Allah and unto Thee, every soul shall return.

“This is to express our condolences on the passing of Sheikh Hafiz Abou. May Allah be pleased with his soul and grant him Aljanah Firdaus. May Allah comfort his family and friends, including the Muslim Association of Nigeria as well as several parts of the Muslim Ummah that Baba Adini associated with. Lagos State and Nigeria, indeed, will sorely miss him.”
