NABTEB releases 2023 ordinary, advanced levels certificate exam results

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), yesterday, announced the release of results of its recently concluded 2023 Ordinary Level/Craft Certificate examinations and the Advanced-level/Mastercraft certificate examinations for private candidates. 
  
The Registrar/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), NABTEB, Prof. Ifeoma Isiugo-Abanihe, disclosed this to newsmen at the board’s National Headquarters, in Benin City, Edo State.
  

She said NABTEB conducted the examinations for the award of the National Business Certificate (NBC)/National Technical Certificate (NTC) and Advanced National Business Certificate (ANBC)/Advanced National Technical Certificate (ANTC) successfully nationwide from Monday, November 6 to Saturday, December 9, 2023. 
   
Isiugo-Abanihe said that out of 39,478 candidates that sat for the NBC/NTC examinations, 28,137 obtained five credits and above, including English Language and Mathematics, representing 71.27 peer cent, whereas, 37,476 candidates scored five credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics, representing 94.93 per cent.

She said: “Analyses of candidates’ enrolment for the examinations indicate that total enrolment was 43,594 candidates, consisting of 26,004 males and 17,590 females, who registered for the examinations in 1,746 centres. 
  
“Further analyses indicate that candidates enrolled for 14 engineering trades, seven construction trades, eight miscellaneous trades, four business trades and 21 general education subjects at the craft level. 
  
“At the Master Craft level, candidates enrolled for 13 engineering trades, seven construction trades, seven miscellaneous trades, four business trades and four general education subjects, totaling 89 trades and subjects at both ordinary and advanced levels.”
