The chief executive of Empretec Nigeria Foundation, Mrs. Onari Duke, has said that a serial entrepreneur is able to see opportunities to start several businesses at a time, sees more of the challenges and what him or her want to achieve and whatever it takes, he or she is willing to go the extra miles.

She added that a serial entrepreneur should pay a lot of attention to the younger ones, educate and encourage them to see where they have the strengths and skills, as against running from pillar to post.

Speaking during the investiture of Rotarian Pantelion Ndubisi Onuoha as the 36th President of Rotary Club of Festac Town, Lagos, Mrs. Duke, wife of former governor of Cross River State, said a serial entrepreneur is somebody who wants to grow business and sell it and start another one and is able to see opportunities for business easily.

She stated that what is dangerous is for him or her to take up so many businesses at a time, noting that failure is never a deterrent for a serial entrepreneur.

She said further: “Today, I do not have a social life. The only reason why I am here is because of what this place represents. I don’t go for regular parties. I attend very important social events. I like charity, so I am doing it to get the money to do my charity.”

An elated Onuoha said that Rotary International is the world’s first service organisation with over 1.2 million members in 34,000 clubs worldwide. “I feel happy that I have today secured a platform to mobilise people and resources to touch lives and do good to the less-privileged in our society.

“But deep inside me, I know it is not a jamboree, especially with the economic situation of our dear country and the limitations of current job schedule,” he said.
