Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, Kaduna State, has scheduled the resumption of academic activities for Monday, October 24, 2022.

The Director of Public Affairs, Auwal Umar, in a statement, yesterday, disclosed that the resumption followed the suspension of the eight-month strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).

Umar said the Senate of the university approved the resumption date at its 516th (Emergency) Meeting.

He said the senate also approved a new academic calendar for 2021/2022 session, noting that the calendar earlier approved at its 513th (Regular) Meeting on November 25, 2021, had to be revised due to the strike, which was called off last week.
