The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Adejare Adeboye has called on every Christian and Nigerian to seek for peace for themselves and the nation.

Speaking yesterday, at a programme tagged: “Go a fishing” at Magodo area of the Lagos metropolis, Adeboye ,who spoke on the subject “Peace that surpasses,” said Nigerians should take the opportunity of Christmas celebrations to embrace enduring peace.

Adeboye listed four categories of peace as ‘when there is no war’, ‘when war has just ended’, ‘when there is no storm’ and ‘when there was storm but have ceased’.

He therefore advised that Nigerians seek peace that is difficult to understand, adding that such peace “comes only from Jesus Christ , the Prince of Peace.”

He however, warned that for any person or nation to have peace, the individual or nation should please God by finding out what he or the nation has been doing that God does not like and what God wants an individual or a nation to do that he or the nation has not been doing.

God says, He loves anyone that loves Him and would embrace any nation that turns unto Him.

Adeboye who also spoke through the Pastor of Lagos Province 12, Ola Adejubbe advanced that for Nigeria to enjoy relative peace, everyone must co-operate with the law enforcement agencies.

“Since law enforcement agencies cannot be everywhere, they rely on every patriotic Nigerian to furnish them with important information that would help them in carrying out their responsibilities that would make Nigeria to be a comfort zone for everyone.

Every Nigerian should not jettison the responsibility of promoting peace in the nation” he said.
