Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo State

OYO State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi yesterday promised to personally provide new uniforms for the over 400 pupils of Ifesowapo Community Primary School in Boluwaji area of Ibadan, which was the worst hit by the fire incident that recently engulfed the area.

The governor, who made the promise during a sympathy visit to the victims of the inferno, also ordered the immediate re-construction of the school.

He described the incident as a human factor that could have been avoided if proper care had been taken by the driver of the petrol tanker that ignited the fire.

“We will re-build the school and equip it with necessary furniture and teaching aids for effective teaching and learning,’’ Ajimobi said.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to the overall development of the state, irrespective of party affiliation for the benefit of the people.

The governor, who described education as the best legacy that parent could bequeath to their children, urged parents and guardians to accord priority attention to the education of their children and wards.
