Akpabio, others eulogise late Audu Ogbeh

President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the Northern Senators Forum (NSF) and Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) have paid tributes to Chief Audu Ogbeh, hailing the late elder statesman as a man of integrity and service, whose legacy would endure in the nation’s political and agricultural history.
   
In a statement by his media aide, Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio described the former Minister of Communications in the Second Republic, ex-PDP chairman, and Minister of Agriculture under President Muhammadu Buhari as “an intellectual storehouse” and “a leader whose passion for national unity and rural development touched millions of lives.”

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, the Kwara government  aid the passing was a big loss to the North Central region, calling the deceased a statesman, thought leader, and nationalist.

In a statement signed by its chairman, Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, the NSF recalled Ogbeh’s journey from the Benue State House of Assembly to the national stage, where he held strategic positions and championed reforms with unwavering dedication.
  
The forum described the Benue native, who passed at 78, as a forthright Nigerian who placed the nation’s interest above all else.  The ACF, in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Prof. Tukur Muhammad-Baba, termed the late septuagenarian a nationalist and committed son of Arewa.
He chaired the ACF’s National Executive Council between 2020 and 2023.
