THE Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, yesterday invited investors to participate in the tourism sector in the state.

The governor noted that the current economic condition foisted on the nation by the global drop in oil price has made investment in tourism a feasible alternative.

He made the appeal while commissioning The George, a new boutique hotel located in Ikoyi, Lagos.

While welcoming The George into the hospitality sector of Lagos state, he invited other investors to participate in tourism business.

Reminding investors that development of hospitality sector is one of the key drivers of his administration’s development agenda, he assured them of the state government commitment to put in place relevant policies and initiatives that will create an enabling environment for the development of the sector.
