The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the European Union and Lantern Books have underscored the potential of a digital platform, Anfani, to empower African youths and drive inclusive progress.
The platform, recently launched by Beere Software Limited, connects young Africans with opportunities that match their aspirations.
According to the co-founder of Beere Software Limited, David Onilude, Anfani is designed to bridge the opportunity gap in Africa, providing a one-stop-shop for youth to discover, track, be reminded and apply for relevant growth opportunities.
“Anfani’s core values of fairness, accessibility, and inclusivity are reflected in its user-friendly interface and cutting-edge technology, making it easy for young people to access opportunities that were previously out of reach,” he posited.
David revealed how missing out on opportunities inspired the creation of Anfani, saying: “I missed out on life-changing opportunities due to lack of information or forgotten deadlines, and that’s what propelled us to build Anfani.”
Echoing similar sentiments, Co-founder and Chief Technical Officer, Kazeem Quadri, emphasised Anfani’s commitment to promoting fairness and accessibility.
“At Beere, we believe technology should simplify access and create opportunities for all. The innovative platform connects young people to scholarships, internships, and opportunities.”
UNICEF Representative at the launch, Oladimeji Ibrahim, welcomed the initiative, saying, “Anfani is a testament to the power of technology to empower young people.”
According to Advisor to the European Union, who represented the EU at the launch event, Victory Ashaka, Beere Software’s work embodies the future of Africa’s tech ecosystem, where young people drive impact and innovation.
Early users of Anfani have praised the platform, with Ayoola Deborah saying: “I discovered scholarship opportunities I didn’t know existed – and Anfani reminded me before the deadline.”
The launch event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Mr. Tunde Solarin, Director at Lantern Publications; Magnus Imam, an Ashoka Young Changemaker; and Dolapo Oshikoya, the Lagos State Youth Ambassador for Ikorodu.
