Arase redeploys four DIGs
THE Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase, has reassigned four Deputy Inspectors-General (DIGs) of Police, who will now head other departments and formations as the agency repositions for more efficiency.
In a statement yesterday, the Police Spokesman, Emmanuel Ojukwu, said the postings took immediate effect, while six other DIGs would remain in their previous postings.
According to the police statement, DIG Dan’Azumi Job Doma (formerly of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID)) is now in charge of Department of Finance and Administration (DFA), Force Headquarters (FHQ), Abuja, while DIG Kakwe Christopher Katso is now in charge of Force Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Department (FCIID), Abuja.
Similarly, DIG Chintua Amajor-Onu, mni, is now in charge of Department of Information and Communications Technology (ICT), FHQ, Abuja, while DIG Jubril Olawale Adeniji now heads the Department of Research and Planning, FHQ, Abuja.
Ojukwu disclosed that DIG Mamman Ibrahim Tsafe (Department of Logistics and Supply, FHQ, Abuja), DIG Saliu Argungu Hashimu (Department of Training and Development, FHQ, Abuja), and DIG Sotonye Leroy Wakama (Department of Operations, FHQ, Abuja) retained their postings.
