The Ijebu Boys Association, a nonprofit organisation, comprising childhood friends with members around the globe, is proud to announce its annual free medical outreach for the residents of Ijebuland.

The three-day event, now in its fifth year, will take place from June 6 to June 8, 2024, at De-Millennium Hall, within the Ijebu Ode Local Council Secretariat, Itoro, behind the post office in Ijebu Ode.

The association’s President, Mr. Olagbuyi Oduniyi, expressed the organisation’s commitment to surpassing last year’s achievements, where over two thousand patients were attended to.

“We are dedicated to bringing relief to our people and view this initiative as a way of giving back to our homeland,” stated Oduniyi. He emphasised the importance of community involvement in complementing governmental efforts, highlighting the association’s journey from providing financial support to widows and children of departed friends, raw foods to vulnerable across Ijebuland during Covid 19, and free medical programmes as its flagship project.

This year’s outreach, he said, will feature medical personnel and organisations from within and outside, providing essential services to humanity. “Patients in need will also receive prescribed drugs, eyeglasses, wheelchairs, and other walking aids.

In addition to medical assistance, nutritious meals will be provided to attendees throughout the three-day outreach. The association aims to address not only the immediate health needs but also the overall well-being of the community.

“Our goal is to put a smile on the face of every patient. We are excited to continue our tradition of service to humanity and contribute to the socio-economic development of our homeland,” Oduniyi said.
