Audit of MDAs to cost N800m
The Director- General, Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR), Dr. Joe Abah, yesterday said the audit of merged Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), which ends next year, is to cost government about N800 million.
President Muhammadu Buhari had at assumption of office collapsed some MDAs to reduce cost of governance and ensure better service delivery.
‘’The eventual merger will be preceded by staff and management audit which is estimated to cost N800 million,” Abah said.
Meanwhile the Federal Government yesterday made a public presentation of its novel benchmarking and comparative assessment of fiscal responsibility across Ministries, Department and Agencies (MDAs) in the quest to foster fiscal discipline and curb corruption.
