FIVE people, believed to be members of same family, have been burnt to death in a ghastly motor accident which occurred on the Ughelli-Asaba expressway very close Kwale, the headquarters of Ndokwa West Local Council of Delta State.

The unfortunate incident reportedly happened at the weekend when the vehicle with which the deceased were travelling was hit by another, resulting in the loss of a tyre and eventual somersault.

An eye witness said the ill-fated vehicles were heading towards Asaba, the state capital when one of them which had a burst tyre skidded off the road which is being dualised by the state government before hit the vehicle traveling on the other lane.

He said that the two vehicles burst into flames apparently as a result of the impact of the contact.

The five occupants, whose identity is still being peddled as family members died on the spot, while the two occupants of the other vehicle, who sustained varying degrees of injuries, were rushed to hospital for medical attention.

The eye witness added that the hospitalised stood slim chances of survival owing to the degrees of burns over them.
