Bakare at 70: Tinubu, Sanwo-Olu, Abiodun laud cleric’s legacy of faith
President Bola Tinubu has described the Superintending Pastor of Citadel Global Community Church (CGCC), Tunde Bakare, as a true man of God.
Tinubu, who was represented by Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, made the remark, yesterday, during Bakare’s 70th birthday celebration held at the CGCC in Oregun, Ikeja, Lagos.
The President noted that Bakare’s national leadership role was worthy of celebration, saying that the cleric had remained a beacon of inspiration to the current generation and, therefore, deserved all the commendations and accolades.
Also, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated Bakare on his 70th birthday.
In a statement, yesterday, by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, Sanwo-Olu described Bakare as a “faithful servant of God, transformative leader, and tireless advocate for good governance.”
In his remarks, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, emphasized that Bakare is a man of God and one of the distinguished ambassadors of the state who has contributed to national development.
