The Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria (AMBCN) has described as misleading, reports of a looming strike by the association.

National Chairman of the association, Simeon Abanulor, said in Asaba yesterday after an enlarged meeting of the executives that reports of the strike, which was credited to one Chief Bayo Folarin, was not only false and malicious, but also evil.

He said reports t did not emanate from its national secretariat, but intended to cause friction between it and the federal government.

He said the association has engaged the Federal Ministry of Agriculture on better ways of resolving the present difficulties faced by its members.

According to him, it is only when the option of dialogue with government fails that the option of strike might be considered.
