Buhari urged to check reckless spending by govs

A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Bauchi State, Alhaji Abubakar Dogon Yaro Bibi, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to check alleged reckless spending of public funds by state governors, as well as remove the immunity from being prosecuted on criminal matters.

Bibi, who is also the National Chairman, National Congress of Democrats, stated this yesterday while interacting with journalists at his residence in Bauchi.

“If the President wants to fight corruption truly, he must start watching the reckless spending and travel expenses by the governors, because they are the ones that fuel corruption in the country. Their immunity on criminal matters should be removed,” he said.
